Black Tie Bingo is a Fundraiser for Excela Hospice. It was held at the Greensburg Country Club on Sat Mar27. We went with Teri and Brenda and Eric and Michelle. Teri drove us in his deluxe conversion van. Michelle brought mango martinis to sip on the trip to the club. We had a fun evening but none of us had any luck at bingo.
Yeah! It was great to look out the back deck and see blossoms on the neighbor's tree. No sign of snow anywhere.
The spring peepers are singing too!
Spring peepers are small frogs that produce a shrill, repeated "peeping" sound. like baby chicks. They become active in the spring. Believe it or not on the first day of spring last week we heard them. There is a pond in the valley below us and it "sounds" like they made it through the winter. Visit the links to learn more about spring peepers or just listen to them on the YouTube clip.
On Sunday March 21 we attended a birthday party for a coworker, Martha R. She just turned 60. Her three daughters held the party for her, family and friends at Bud Murphy's in Connellsville. We enjoyed a tasty buffet and delicious filled birthday cake.
This is a special pillow handmade for Tommy by Amy D. Amy is a coworker and she loves to quilt. She is making pillows for all the new lab grandma's to give to their grandchildren. Tommy is the first to receive a pillow. She embroidered a puppy on his pillow because she knows he likes dogs.
