Granny "Oakley"

On Saturday we went to Elk Mountain Trails, www.elkmountaintrails.com, for a horseback ride. We chose the one hour ride for beginners. The trail was thru a wooded area. It was very cool and quiet and had lots of greens for the horses to eat.
Doesn't Granny Oakley look experienced? Yes, the horse has a "sunglass" covering over his eyes. He has one good eye and and they keep it protected from flies. His name is Jack. (Wonder where that came from.) We kind of look like twins.

Notice, the horse is most interested in eating. I also chose to wear the helmet. It was good protection from tree branches and I was sure I might fall off the horse.

Waiting for the ride to begin. ( It was kind of far from the ground up here.)

Still snacking.

We ate dinner next door at a local Italian restaurant. This is the scrap of paper the waiter wrote the bill on. Just wanted to share.

The room key. (yes, Pride and Predjudice characters)
The room also had the book to read and DVD to view.

I am enjoying my glass of wine on the comfy king bed.
