Visiting with Evelyn May 2013

The first of May I spent a week visiting with Evelyn. It was a busy week and it just flew by.

Evelyn likes to cuddle with Mr. Bear

With four more teeth she needs two bowls of spaghetti to fill her up.

Evelyn has discovered soccer.

On  one of our outings ( while we were waiting for new tires to be installed) we had lunch at Cosco.  The pizza is actually very good.

One of our projects was trimming, weeding and mulching the front yard.  Looks like we're done.

Evelyn up close.

Evelyn loves her avocados!!  Look closely...she has some on her nose.

Evelyn ponders the maze on the children's menu.
We (mom and dad too) are having breakfast at i Hop.

One last snuggle before it's time for me to head home.

I returned from Nashville in time to spend Mother's Day with my baby and his babies.

Post tax season = RELAX

PNC park was the first stop for let's relax.  Tax season is over.
The Pittsburgh Pirate parrot walks by our seats.  Tommy was not interested in a visit from the parrot.

He was concentrating on cotton candy and waiting for #22 to come to bat.

Luv, luv luv cotton candy.

Mid-game break at the children's area.

Next stop for Post Tax Season...
Washington DC and Georgetown  Cupcakes.

Michelle and Grace have a seat.

Tommy wastes no time and samples his vanilla cupcake.

Saturday morning we start our DC tour on the open top bus.  Can you guess who is so oo  excited??

Tom frames his shot.

The Washington Monument is closed for repairs due to an earthquake on August 23, 2011, still looks impressive.

Lincoln Monument up-close.

OK...we'll pose for another picture.

Grace on piggyback at the World War II memorial.

This is what the WWII memorial should have looked like.  The water wasn't on yet.

Tommy looking at an exhibit in the Smithsonian Natural History Museum.

Up close.  Hope no one is watching.

We also visited the Butterfly pavilion at the museum.  It is supposed to be enjoyable for the whole family.  Grace became afraid of the butterflies after about 5 minutes and Tommy didn't make it much longer.  The butterflies flew everywhere and would even land on the observers.  Grace didn't want any parts of that.  Michelle and I made sure we got our money's worth and stayed longer.

After walking thru the museum it was time for lunch and how convenient we found a restaurant with the Penguin game.

We passed by the IRS building on the way to the bus stop.

We rode the open top all the way back to the hotel drop off.   Luckily we were up front and out of the wind.

On Sunday we went to the National Zoo.  We rented a stroller for the kids.  Perfect size.

Tommy rides the carousel

Grace not sure she wants to ride.

Tommy takes a second spin with pap-pap before its time to head for home.

 One last snapshot.

Fundraiser Calendar Party at St Benedict

The Rosary Altar Society of St Benedict Parish held a fundraising activity...a Calendar Party in April.  It was a fun event that included themed tables for each month of the year, dinner, basket raffles and a fashion show.  Clothing for the show was provided by Christopher and Banks.
I designed my September table with a back to school theme.

It included origami candy filled favor boxes and post-it note pads 'n pencils, snacks and sangria.

I also participated as a model.

Woo hoo...strike a pose!

 December table...Christmas theme

 August table...Beach theme

March table...St Patrick's  Day
